Workshops
Overcoming the Imposter Syndrome for Diversity Students in Engineering/STEM
This workshop will introduce students to the cunning process of self-sabotage. Panelists will discuss self-sabotage, symptoms and methods to overcome it. Gender and ethnic-specific viewpoints, personal accounts and challenges in STEM will be shared.
Location: Pavilion- Auditorium, in Atkinson Hall
Data Blitz: 5 minute oral presentations across the disciplines
Students and Faculty across San Diego campuses will talk about their research projects. Each talk will cover the highlights (or even challenges) of ongoing research projects. Come learn about the most exciting developments in research labs across San Diego County.
Location: Computer Science & Engineering Bldg #1202
Careers in STEM
This workshop will be presented by members of the San Diego Workforce Partnership and will highlight current labor statistics & trends in STEM jobs. Special attention will be placed on local jobs with varying college degrees, inside and outside of academic settings.
Location: Pavilion- Theatre, in Atkinson Hall
Graduate School Information Session and Panel:
This session will offer general information and a panel discussion on how to fund graduate school, the importance of summer research programs, and an overview of the graduate school application process, including the GRE.
